SolarisFloat invited to speak at Intersolar Europe

SolarisFloat was invited to be one of the speakers at Intersolar Europe, that will be held in Munich, Germany, on June 19-20, 2018.

The invitation was made after the presentation of Protevs at SNEC 2018, in Shangai, one month ago.

Protevs is a two-axis tracking floating PV solution unique in the world that will certainly bring new challenges for the environment, economy and the solar photovoltaic industry. This Portuguese solution allows plus 30% to 40% more energy production capability when compared with fixed solutions.

Modular, detachable, scalable, reliable solution, with an easy installation process, each island comprises 180 photovoltaic. 15 islands correspond to 1MW installed, occupy 25,000m2 and produce, in good location and normal conditions, 2,500 MWh/year, which allows to supply more than 800 people. *

Protevs is an environmentally friendly solution: uses recyclable materials and allows 60% less of evaporation of water, reduction of algae growth and reduction of water temperature.

Protevs was developed by SolarisFloat, that belongs to the jp.group, a Portuguese business group with an international presence in more than 70 countries, using I&D developed with Portuguese Universities and leading industries.

* 3 MWh/year/per capita is the world consumption, according to “Key world energy statistics”,

Renewables 2018 Global Status Report GSR 2018

Renewable power accounted for 70% of net additions to global power generating capacity in 2017, the largest increase in renewable power capacity in modern history, according to REN21’s Renewables 2018 Global Status Report (GSR). But the heating, cooling and transport sectors – which together account for about four-fifths of global final energy demand – continue to lag far behind the power sector. The GSR, published last 4th June, is the most comprehensive annual overview of the state of renewable energy worldwide.

SolarisFloat launches Protevs in SNEC

Protevs is a unique project in the world that will certainly bring new challenges for the environment, economy and the solar photovoltaic industry. This Portuguese solution will be launched at International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition (SNEC PV POWER EXPO), in Xangai, China, on May 28-30, 2018.

Protevs allows plus 30% to 40% more energy production capability when compared with fixed solutions.

Modular, detachable, scalable, reliable solution, with an easy installation process, each island comprises 180 photovoltaic panels with two-axis tracking.
